The Scoop wraps a tall, rounded plywood shell around the sitter. It feels more enclosed and comfortable than a flat-back cafe chair, which makes it a good choice for window tables and the parts of the room where guests linger with a laptop or a second coffee.
Construction. Molded plywood shell in walnut veneer with a clear protective coat, solid hardwood legs with a steel cross-brace beneath the seat, and a round padded seat in contract vinyl. The seat lifts out for recovering.
Where it works. Window and corner tables in fast casual and cafe rooms, coffee-led concepts and hotel grab-and-go lounges.
Options. Shell veneer tone, seat vinyl color, leg stain.
Why a shell back helps. A one-piece molded shell has no back joints to loosen, and the clear coat on the veneer wipes clean with standard cleaners. The tall, wraparound back also hides the seat from view across the room, so a dining room full of Scoops looks tidy even mid-service. Use it in the slower zones of the room and pair it with lighter steel-leg chairs in the high-turnover center. Glides are chosen to suit your floor.
