The end of a booth run is the part that takes the beating: luggage in airports, strollers in malls, carts and mop buckets everywhere. An upholstered end tears and has to be recovered. The Endguard replaces the exposed ends with solid walnut panels 1.2 in (3 cm) thick, joined to a matching walnut base so the end reads as one piece. When they scuff, they can be sanded and re-oiled or refinished on site.
Construction. Plywood and hardwood booth frame, horizontal channel back, high-resilience foam, contract vinyl or fabric. Solid walnut end panels and base, sealed with a commercial finish. Removable seat cushion.
Where it works. Airport and transit dining, mall food courts, chains with high traffic along booth ends, and any aisle-side booth run.
Why it saves money. Recovering a torn upholstered end usually means taking the booth out of service and calling an upholsterer. A scuffed walnut end can be sanded and re-coated by your maintenance team after closing, and the booth is back in service the next morning. Other species can be specified to suit your interior.
