The weakest points of an upholstered booth are its outside faces: the back that chairs bump into and the ends that take trays, strollers and mop buckets. The Shell-Wrap High-Back solves that by putting upholstery only where guests sit and wrapping everything else in a hard dark wood shell, with rounded corners at the top.
Construction. Hardwood and plywood frame; outer shell in dark-stained wood veneer with a commercial lacquer, wrapping the back and both ends; seat and back in high-resilience foam, light grey fabric shown; wood base rail on short tapered legs.
Durability. The shell takes the knocks and can be touched up with a matching wood finish; the upholstered inner faces are protected on three sides.
Cleaning. The raised legs leave a clear gap so staff can mop under the booth, and the wood surfaces wipe down with the tables.
Replacement cost. Seat and back cushions are separate parts, so a stained seat can be re-covered without touching the shell.
Where it works. Aisle-side and freestanding booths, mall food courts, airport dining and fast casual rooms that want a little privacy at each table. The high back also cuts noise between tables.
Options. Cover (contract vinyl or fabric), shell finish, back height, length, single or double. Foam specified to CAL TB 117-2013 on request.
