For multi-unit operators, recovering booths is a recurring cost: send for an upholsterer, close the section, wait. The Zip-Swap makes covers a consumable. Seat and back are loose cushions with concealed zips along their edges, held to the frame with metal snaps. Staff can unsnap a cushion, unzip the cover and replace it with a spare in minutes, and covers can be cleaned or swapped for a seasonal color.
Construction. Plywood and hardwood frame, recessed base, separate back and seat cushions with high-resilience foam inserts, concealed zips and snap fixings. Contract vinyl or washable contract fabric covers. The reference shows contrasting seat and back covers to illustrate that each is separate.
What to stock. For each location, keep a set of spare covers for roughly 10% of seats. It is usually cheaper than a single emergency upholstery call.
Where it works. Franchise and multi-unit programs, cafes with seasonal palettes, and any room where downtime costs money.
